Currently, she is moving further into the motion picture arena through VIVE Productions, with three projects moving into development in 2010. VIVE is co-owned by Lisby and husband Jesper Baehrnz.

“THE TWO PENNY DANCE”
A gigantic hit movie in Northern Europe, produced by Academy Award® winner Per Holst.

Mette Lisby starred and was nominated for a “Robert” award in the category Best actress in a leading role. The “Robert” is the Danish Equivalent of an Academy Award®.

“JULIANE”
This sequel to “The Two Penny Dance” was nominated for a “Robert” in the category Film of the Year”. It was produced by Academy Award® nominee Thomas Lydholm. Mette Lisby also starred in the six-episode TV spin-off of the same name, which became that year’s most watched TV drama in Denmark.

Mette Lisby played the role of Dory in the Danish version of this Pixar classic.

Sadly, Denmark soon ran out of celebrities for her to interview and Mette was offered the job as host and head writer for “Have I Got News For You”. This role earned her Denmark’s “Favourite TV Personality” award the next two years.

Mette’s next TV show bore her own name. The sketch show “FC Lisby” took her career full circle combining her TV experience with her roots in stand-up. The show, which Mette created, produced, co-wrote and starred in, combined spoofs of TV shows like “Ricki Lake”, “Who Wants To Be A Millionare”, “Jeopardy” as well as news and crime shows, all linked together by extraordinary stand-up routines.

After this, Mette Lisby was asked to be one of the hosts of one of the longest running  Danish TV shows, the national morning show ‘Go’ Morgen Danmark’ (Good Morning Denmark). A chance she jumped at, and she did a successful stint on the show.

When Danish broadcasters then wanted to produce a domestic version of “Room 101”, Mette was the natural choice as host. Again she received vast acclaim for her talk show host style.

In 2004, after moving abroad, Lisby’s TV appearances became more international. As a comedian, she appeared on Comedy Central UK, Australia’s Comedy Channel and on BBC America’s hugely succesful series ‘The World Stands Up’. She also took part in NBC’s reality contest for stand-up comedians, ‘Last Comic Standing’. In 2010, she’ll be featured in the BBC production ‘Coast’.

Even after moving abroad, she’s a regular on Danish television as a guest on programs such as the Danish version of ‘Thank God You’re Here’ as well as morning shows and the popular ‘Go’ Aften Danmark’ (Good Evening Denmark).
